GEnie's Star services are $4.95 per month and that is all the cost. 
The normal RT's cost off peak $us6.00 per hour but this is still cheaper,
IMHO than the cis charges. I do use both systems but I donot use CIS 
as much as I used to due to the amount of files/news/rtc's on GEnie 
fair out number cis.
