Well, it does a lot of nice stuff, including VT-100. Uploading and downloading (Xmodem and Ymodem-Batch, Zmodem on the way) in the background. Right now, I'm in STeno editing this message. Then, I can hit ALT-A to Select All and ALT-X to cut everything into a clipboard buffer. Then I hit ALT-Tab and it toggles over to STalker where I hit ALT-V to paste back into the vi editor. It may sound a bit confusing at first, but after a while or if you watch someone go through the process, it's really quick and, I think at least, A LOT nicer than Flash's and Interlink's terminal program/editor combos. A script language is also on the way for version 3.0. - Uniterm is very nice, but pretty much fills my 520, so I'm kind of - on the lookout for something a bit smaller, that doesn't necessarity - have all that stuff I don't need (like tectronix emulation). STalker and STeno are pretty big for desk accessories, although you can configure how much memory their buffers consume. One meg of RAM is recommended, if not almoot required. I have one meg with NeoDesk, Turbo ST, STalker and STeno, and a few little things loaded with ICD's booter (taking about 200K). It's pretty snug having only 65K left, but still usable. If I need to do any memory-intensive stuff, I just reboot and don't load STalker and STeno. -- Ed Krimen ............................................... ||| Video Production Major, California State University, Chico ||| INTERNET: ekrimen@ecst.csuchico.edu FREENET: al661 / | \ SysOp, Fuji BBS: 916-894-1261 FIDONET: 1:119/4.0
