Now Spinrite II doesn't seem to like it. All I get is an incompatible equipment message. Spinrite worked great with my Seagate 40Mb (ST251-1) drive using the same controller, etc. The configuration of the 1090 is: heads : 7 sec/trk:17 tracks :1314 I know DOS cannot handle > 1024 tracks without help. Ontrak's DMDRVR allows me to access above the 1024 track limit without problems. But does Spinrite have the same problem or is there a magical incantation that is required to get Spinrite to work. Thanks, Howard Honig howard@hp-pcd.cv.hp.com
