It's a very simple do-it-yourself operation.  There's a single chip that
you put in a socket that you just remove a couple of screws to expose
(instructions come with the chip).  If you want to use downloaded fonts
you will need to change one of the front-panel function switch settings
(no DIP switches).  I got my chip from Midwest Micro, whose latest
catalog still lists them in stock (1-800-423-8215).
