I have a Bondwell laptop I like very much, except that it has an old TN LCD with poor contrast and viewing angle. I'd like to replace this with a supertwist display with backlight. There seems to be enough room behind the display to get a very slim backlight in. What I was more concerned about was the electrical compatibility of the displays. The Bondwell uses a custom display driver bearing no part number. Given the tight construction, extensive electronic modifications are impracticable. I can't just simply get a newer laptop, as the Bondwell has unique features not present on any current machine, features I have to have. -greg trice- -- Canada Remote Systems.
