Message-ID: <29122@megaron.cs.arizona.edu> Date: 4 Jan 91 05:50:24 GMT Sender: rick@cs.arizona.edu Followup-To: sci.electronics Organization: Television Systems Division, Tektronix, Inc., Beaverton, OR Lines: 20 Approved: rick@cs.arizona.edu I've seen short articles about the new Sony BookMan (the book-like handheld CD player that is intended to be used as a visually interactive source of information for things like telephone books, encyclopedias, etc.), but I haven't been able to find any really usable information about it. I'm told that Sony will introduce a US version in the Summer of 1991 (currently it is apparently only available in Japan). I'm looking for pointers to articles/brochures/salesman on either the Japanese or the US version. I'm sorry about the cross-posting to so many newsgroups, but I haven't been able to find an appropriate source of information. If you know of any sources of information (e.g. trade rag articles, etc.) on the Bookman, *PLEASE* send me email as soon as possible. Thanks in advance...
