Could someone provide me with a recommendation on point of sale (invoicing
and customer records) and inventory management software.  It's for a relatively
small company, so they don't need anything too elaborate.  They would
prefer a stand alone application, but are willing to live with something
based around 4d (though that could be compiled, couldn't it :-) or 
DoubleHelix or whatever.

I'd prefer e-mail since I doubt this is of much general interest, but
if you think the masses will be interested feel free to post instead.
