(He has written a script for that transmission and says it works like a charm and thoroughly recommends it). He has to write to a precise word length each time and wonders if it is possible to modify the "Save" command in Word 4 so that instead of showing the number of characters in the bottom left-hand corner (which reverts to the page number after a key is struck) it will show the word count. Obviously a macro could be written to access utilities in the menu bar to automate the "word count" feature, but is it possible to, say, ResEdit Word 4 in a way that achieves that outcome? Or can any netters suggest another way of easily getting an automated word count? Thanks in advance. Bob Marks bobm@mummy.agsm.unsw.oz.au
