We are getting a IIntx printer for our Unix-based platform. My question is on expanding the memory, I know that it can be grown up to 12 Megs. Is the expaned ram only used for extra font storage (i.e. for downloaded fonts) or is it also used for holding the postscript document to be printed. We will be printing a number of large bit-mapped postscript images, and I want to know if its worthwhile to expand the memory past the standard 2 Mbytes that comes with the unit. Or will additional ram only be used by systems (like apple) that download fonts? Please email responses. thanks 'mark -- =============== regards 'mark ============================================= Mark Ahlenius voice:(708)-632-5346 email: uunet!motcid!ahleniusm Motorola Inc. fax: (708)-632-2413 Arlington, Hts.
