Does MacsBug = TMON? Message-ID: <16036@burdvax.PRC.Unisys.COM> Date: 4 Jan 91 16:20:23 GMT Sender: news@PRC.Unisys.COM Organization: Unisys Corporation, Paoli Research Center; Paoli, PA Lines: 29 References: Can someone tell me how to join BMUG (Berkeley Macintosh User Group)? Note: I'm on the east coast (otherwise I'd probably have joined long ago), so this has to be done by e-mail or (shudder!) snail-mail. I need to get a copy of MacsBug (or equivalent), and I'd like to get it as quickly as possible. I understand it's available from BMUG (PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong on this), so this is the proximate cause of wanting to join--but I've been meaning to anyway. I could get MacsBug from APDA for $35, but that would probably take six weeks, and I want it ASAP. Related questions: I've heard BMUG offers their shareware collection on a compact disc. How much is this? Does it also include non-shareware stuff (like MacsBug)? Can anyone compare MacsBug and TMON for me? (I can get TMON overnight from MacWarehouse for about $90.) Are these generally the same sort of beast, or apples and oranges? One feature I need is the ability to interrupt a program and look at a symbolic disassembly of it--I'm pretty sure MacsBug will do this, but I don't know about TMON.
