Apple should really have made provision for this problem when Multifinder was released. In the current situation, there are several approaches: 1. Get one of the many utilities (INITs, FKEYs) that make windows invisible, and use it on the offending window(s). This is tedious. 2. Get hold of MultiFinder 6.1b9 (many user groups have it, I'm told). This Multifinder includes "Set aside " and "Set aside others" items in the Apple menu. It makes life much easier! 3. Keep nothing on the desktop, and always keep the trash open. This makes floppies whose windows do not open by default a great pain to access. 4. Wait for System 7, which allegedly incorporates (2)'s features. Shame on you, Apple, for this one. Easy to use, indeed. Richard C.
