It seems they put alpha characters first, then numerics, then the rest of the characters like #,_,., ... I used to name my files things like #errors just so they would sort to the top of the browser and open panels, but I can't do that anymore. I know it is just a minor annoyance, but someone went out of there way to do this probably because it was decided that this is the 'NeXT' way of doing things.
