Agreed, the Novell NBACKUP did not preserve the perms. Sytos PLUS, though flawed, will preserve MOST of the permissions ( ALL that normal humans care about). Version 1.10 DIDN'T, I have verified that 1.20 does (though flawed. I should post on this ...).
