Message-ID: <373@uucs1.UUCP> Date: 4 Jan 91 02:32:00 GMT Reply-To: gaf@uucs1.UUCP () Organization: UUCS inc., Phoenix Az Lines: 18 Following the instructions in the FrameMaker documentation, I successfully uploaded a few Adobe fonts straight from the Adobe disks on our Mac and installed them in FrameMaker. Everything went well, and they seem to print fine on paper. The screen fonts, however, are kind of ugly. Futura Light and Book are mere wisps and are difficult to read (on screen). Caslon 540 has several characters show up as black blocks; which ones show up that way varies with the current zoom level. How come the fonts that come with FrameMaker look fine at all magnifications and point sizes, while the genuine Adobe screen fonts look terrible? Has anyone else had this experience? -- Guy Finney It's that feeling of deja-vu UUCS inc. Phoenix, Az all over again. ncar!noao!asuvax!hrc!uucs1!gaf sun!sunburn!gtx!uucs1!gaf
