I have the identical problem. At first I thought it was PC-NFS related as my WP5.1 is on a network drive. Upon installing on my home system I discovered the same problem, so I believe the network is not causing the trouble. I observed 3 things: Problem less frequent if I close all windows and minimize the program manager as I start WP5.1. Problem is less frequent if you set a pif file with memory requirements of 0 and -1. Problem is very frequent if you escape to a DOS shell and then start WP5.1. Very Frequent = 99% of time. Frequent=90% of time Less frequent= 80% of time. I'm very busy right now and haven't taken the chance to chase this any further. I'm sure Bill Gates feels its a WP problem and I'm sure the WP people will say "It will be fixed for a $150 upgrade to WP for windows." ---- Sigh ---------- Dan Aksel
