We are planning to port an distributed application from Unix to VMS in
the near future.  It will run with both ASCII-terminal and X11-based
graphical user interfaces.  We use the Unix 'select' call to monitor
communications between processes.  Does anyone know of a comparable
mechanism under VMS?  Please reply through news or to me directly 
through email.
