Better be careful, Henry. If you don't cope with flaws in the systems you run on, you may find that the code you write won't run at all. Someone just recently pointed out that GNU grep 1.5 has a bug in it that is ticked by Pnews. Not only do you have to watch out for bugs in the OS, but you have to watch for bugs in various basic utilities, too.
