(now Laser Diode, Inc.) LD-60 single heterojunction GaAs laser diode for sale. This was purchased new and tested but never built into anything. It's rated at 2+ Watts at a 0.1% duty cycle with a threshold current of 3 Amps. The package is coaxial with an 8-32 screw stud for the negative terminal. Wavelength is 904 nm at 25 deg. C. That is well into the infrared so it should be good for some communications projects or maybe a laser pointer for Cmdr. Gordy LaForge. I also have a 4 page spec. sheet and a reprint of the Scientific American article explaining simple driver and detector circuits. $15. Reply by e-mail. -Ken WB0QNA
