The forward reaction control system is scheduled to be installed this eve- ning. The rudder speed brake has been inspected. Orbiter redun- dancy checks are underway. Discovery is being prepared for rollover to the Vehicle As- sembly Building the end of January. STS-37 - ATLANTIS (OV 104) - OPF BAY 2 Atlantis is scheduled to be powered up today and the payload bay doors are to be opened. The number 3 auxiliary power unit is scheduled to be installed today. The remote manipulator system is scheduled for installation this weekend. Inspections of the nose cap are continuing. STS-35 - COLUMBIA (OV 102) - VAB Technicians are setting up platforms in Columbia's aft com- partment to begin post-flight inspections. Access to the crew cabin is being established and some tile operations are scheduled. Columbia will remain in the Vehicle Assembly Building until Discovery is ready to be transferred out of the OPF later this month. STS-37 SOLID ROCKET BOOSTERS - VAB Booster stacking operations are continuing. Today, the left aft center segment will be lifted into the high bay and mated to the left booster. The left forward center segment is scheduled to be mated early next week. A new 17-inch liquid hydrogen disconnect is being installed on the external tank this week.
