Keywords: Oracle Graphics, 8-bit characters Message-ID: <2616@krafla.rhi.hi.is> Date: 12 Jan 91 13:26:04 GMT Organization: University of Iceland Lines: 12 Does anyone know it is possible to input 8-bit ISO8859/1 coded characters into Oracle Graphics/X11. I can see that all the output is OK and it uses 8-bit fonts, so all my data from the database come out fine. The problem is when I try to input something (like names of axes etc.). Then it simply ignores all input characters not in the old 7-bit ASCII subset of ISO8859/1. Is this bug/misfeature documented somewhere? Has someone fixed this? Or maybe noone in Europe wants other characters than [a-zA-Z] in their fancy good looking _presentation_material_???? - Heimir Thor Sverrisson heimir@hafro.is
