Depends on whether or not you want simultaneous LAN and WAN.  

The Network General Sniffer is available in Compaq Laptop form.
It can do any LAN and most WAN, but not at the same time.

The Wandel&Goltermann DA-30 can do both LAN and WAN at the same
time, but it is the SIZE of a laptop, not based on a commercial
laptop unit.  

The Tektronix TC-1000 is based on a Laptop, does WAN and can
also do most LAN's...
