There is a nasty litttle bug in gcc.c from g++-osf-1.9.2.11. To fix it look for the pattern: argv0_len > 0 and change it into argv0_len >= 0 Then g++ should also work when invoked as 'g++'. There is still a better solution: get gcc from gcc-osf-1.9.2.14 and have a link of the form 'ln -s /usr/local/bin/gcc /usr/local/bin/g++'.
