I am attempting to write a program in VSPASCAL (under CMS) that sends an EXEC TELL command using CMS ('EXEC....',rc); By necessity, this TELL command must contain an address in the format XXXX@XXXXXXX. However, for some reason, the actual command reduces the address to only the first 8 characters. For example (V4078@Templevm) is reduced to (V4078@TE). Strangely, if the userid before the @ is eight characters long, it doesn't truncate... I checked the userid before it is sent to the cms function, and the command, and both appear correct on their screen, therefore I am assumin that it has something to do with the CMS function. Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone have any ideas how to fix? Please? E-Mail me privately if you are on PASCAL-L, I don't belong. IBM-MAIN people can reply either way...
