Message-ID: <1991Jan9.163114.3552@bellcore.bellcore.com> Date: 9 Jan 91 16:31:14 GMT Sender: usenet@bellcore.bellcore.com (Poster of News) Reply-To: mo@messy.UUCP (Michael O'Dell) Organization: Center for Chaotic Repeatabilty Lines: 17 To my constant annoyance, Xmh doesn't seem to keep .mh_profile (or "Mail//context" or whatever) current with the state inside Xmh, even after a "commit". This means that several shell-scripts which I use to do things like playback voicemail announced by email don't work. Anyone have any hacks to make Xmh a bit more observant of the MH protocol?? One of the greatest virtues of MH is that it is NOT a monolithic program so you can build shell scripts which do useful things with mail, and while I really like Xmh for many things, returning to the closed, inaccesible monolithic mail environment is unacceptable. Sigh. -Mike
