(my box is an Apollo, sr10.2) The problem: I have a mailer defined as follows Mmhsnet, P=/usr/local/bin/netfile, F=hmsuSDFM, A=netfile -Amailer -Q$u -S$f - The "netfile" mailer appends my fully qualified domain name merlin.bhpmrl.oz.au onto the argument in the -S flag. Unfortunately, I have no control over this. I *want* $f to be the sender from address, ie. so the address would then be written as ianh@merlin.bhpmrl.oz.au, but it looks like $f expands to a fully qualified form since the addresses start looking like ianh@merlin.bhpmrl.oz.au@merlin.bhpmrl.oz.au Where could this be happening?? I've stared at the code a bit and tried to track down where the expansion occurs but ended up getting a bit lost .... BTW I think this release of sendmail is bloody terrific :-) ian -- Ian Hoyle /\/\ Image Processing & Data Analysis Group / / /\ BHP Research - Melbourne Laboratories / / / \ 245 Wellington Rd, Mulgrave, 3170 / / / /\ \ AUSTRALIA \ \/ / / / \ / / / Phone : +61-3-560-7066 \/\/\/ FAX : +61-3-561-6709 E-mail : ianh@bhpmrl.oz.au
