I'm a teaching assistant for an operating systems class at UCLA which will be using the Tannenbaum book and doing assignments with MINIX. The problem is that our hardware (apparently) won't work with MINIX versions other than 1.2. I personally haven't checked this, but I believe the only other version they tried was 1.3. Anyway, I'm looking for a list of known bugs in MINIX 1.2 and the compiler associated with it. If it would help, I can find out what sort of PCs we're running on too. I'd really appreciate any help anyone can give me. I have under a week to try to get MINIX literate and get the students set up. (Though help after that time will also be happily accepted). We're also still trying to locate a copy of MINIX 1.2, but hopefully, the professor will be able to get one from Prentice-Hall. Thank you!
