Message-ID: <10158@pasteur.Berkeley.EDU> Date: 12 Jan 91 06:07:12 GMT Sender: news@pasteur.Berkeley.EDU Reply-To: ttam@cory.Berkeley.EDU Lines: 18 I own a 286 with 2 meg ram, 80meg HD (in actual 40meg st251 w/ a perstor HD controller) and want to set it up as a program development system. I am using MSC 6.0 but prefer gcc or other compilers that include the source and are more UNIX compatible. I have just discovered Minix from reading news on the NET and would love to have it on the 286, but I am a student at UCB and living on a limitted budget. I wonder if there is anyone who has MINIX OS preferably the latest version and would like to part with it for a low amount$ maybe $40 to $60 so I could set up the 286 for school works (is Minix BSD UNIX compatible ? compiling C, Pascal ...) and do not have to camp-out in the computer lab for the rest of my university life.
