I finally got Minix to boot by changing the 1.2M drive on my PC/XT
to a 360K drive. Has anyone faced this problem before?

However, Minix diskette #5 (/usr) gave a lot of unrecoverable read
errors and then most of the programs (includeing "ls") on this diskette 
couldn't be accessed! 

I have sent an e-mail to books@prenhall.com but I would be eternally
grateful to anyone who has a better suggestion. (it as already a month
since I bought my copy and it *would* be nice to get it working!).
