I think it is for the benefit of the net, so that rumors such as this can be substantiated before they get out of hand. 4DOS 3.02a (and its successor-in-beta-test 4DOS 4.0) work PERFECTLY fine with MS-DOS 5.0 beta copies. I am running both programs and I'd swear they're made for each other. Sure, DOS 5.0, when released, will be, IMNSHO, be the cat's meow, but it still doesn't have (nor should we ever expect) the great wealth of features that 4DOS has. As for DR-DOS 5.0, it will work with DR-DOS 5.0, but they don't get along as well. I don't have any specific information as what is wrong between the two, but I do know "something" exists between the two that one or the other doesn't like very much. -- ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Eric Thav Editor/Publisher, Eric Thav's South Florida BBS List GEnie: E.THAV PC Link: EricThav INTERNET: eric@acc.fau.edu PRODIGY: NMVG80A FAUVAX: eric BITNET: eric@fauvax
