I'm thinking of writing some software to allow a non-DOS machine to read and
write DOS disks.  For this I need information on the logical format of DOS
disks: partitions, FAT tables, directories, etc. etc.  Can anyone recommend
a concise, complete, and accurate reference book?  Is there an "official"
specification available from Microsoft or IBM?
