Running Microsoft OS/2 1.21 and LanManager 2.0. I start off with a clean HPFS filesystem and populate it. I then give the user all permissions (RWCXDAP) to the top. He can then individually go to any directory and assign permissions to anyone he chooses. But go up a level and he can't do a 'permit tree' (through net admin). He gets: You do not have permission to access the resource [name of bottom level dir] So, how do you allow a user to assign permissions to a directory tree, or partial tree ? Or do you tell him that he has to do it directory by directory. By the way, admin can do it just fine.
