Hello,
I'm working on my diploma thesis about 
	runtime environments for high-speed protocols
(for the transport system of a communication system, layers 2 - 4 in OSI)
I'll implement it in a UNIX-kernel .

Therefore I'm searching for papers in this topic, especially:
	- buffer management
	- multiple timer mechanisms
	- lightweight processes
	- upcall environments

Any references would be very appreciated.
