No, the DeskJet is absolutely not compatable with the LaserJet download
font format.  It is somewhat compatable in other areas, but the DeskJet
does not have a page of memory so there are many other subtle and not
so subtle incompatabilities.

There are some LaserJet to DeskJet soft font coversion utilities
on the market at a reasonable price but I have not used any so I
hesitate to recommend a particular one.  The new DeskJet 500 is the
first DeskJet to support kerning, making LaserJet to DeskJet soft
font conversion even more reasonable a thing to do.
