I think it is but not really sure. No, the DeskJet is absolutely not compatable with the LaserJet download font format. It is somewhat compatable in other areas, but the DeskJet does not have a page of memory so there are many other subtle and not so subtle incompatabilities. There are some LaserJet to DeskJet soft font coversion utilities on the market at a reasonable price but I have not used any so I hesitate to recommend a particular one. The new DeskJet 500 is the first DeskJet to support kerning, making LaserJet to DeskJet soft font conversion even more reasonable a thing to do. Dave Neff neff@hpvfs1.HP.COM
