Keywords: SCSI-II, SPARC, Sun Message-ID: <17345@brahms.udel.edu> Date: 8 Jan 91 02:20:41 GMT Organization: University of Delaware Lines: 20 Has anyone had experience using SCSI-II devices on Suns? I specifically interested in tagged command queuing. So far I know that: SPARCstation 1s & 1+s use the NCR53C90 chip, which doesn't appear to support SCSI-II. I used scsi_ifgetcap() to find out that a SPARCstation 1 running 4.0.3 doesn't know what tagged queuing is. SPARCstation 2s use the NCR53C90A chip, which appears to support SCSI-II, but who has one? Does 4.1.1 support tagged queuing? Eltek has an SBus to SCSI board which uses the NCR53C90A chip. Central Data will soon have a board using the NCR53C710. Anyone used Eltek's or another I haven't heard of? Any information or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, John Quillen Bluestone Consulting jq@brahms.udel.edu
