I am having problems with an exabyte on a VaxStation 3100-38 with VMS 5.3-1
using BACKUP. I am trying to backup an RZ57 (1GB) but it keeps failing with the
error FATAL CONTROLLER ERROR and TAPE POSITION LOST.

Is there anyone out there who has had similar problems. We have tried different
media and different drives but nothing seems to help.
