PC-NFS works well with DOS 5.0. The Dos shell sees the network drive. Just thought I mention this. 2. I am having a problem with Mac-NFS (See 3). Wollongong suggested that SUN add an option to the PCNFSD server to set the attributes of a file to be created. 3. I am trying to share files between a PC and a Mac. The PC uses Sun's PC-NFS, the MAC uses Wollongong's Pathway NFS. The NFS volume is using Wollongong's NFS for VMS. To copy a text file, I use ftp with no problems. For some reason, Wollongong has it set so any file with a VMS Executable protection is not seen as a text file and it will have no creator/type on the Mac. Removed the Executable option makes it ionto a text file. Going into VMS after every ftp is ridiculous. SET PROTECT/DEFAULT won't work. Wollongong said they may add this to their MACNFSAD daemon. This product has possibilities but Wollongong seems to be selling a product that was not ready for market yet. A bug fix release in March is a good start
