I am looking to buy or, perhaps, build an inexpensive terminal server.

Does anyone know of a manufacturer making an 8 (or more) port terminal
server for under $1000?  If not, what is the cheapest anyone has seen
one go for?

Is there any public domain terminal server code for a pc? A KA9Q hack
or something like that?
