I want to make a small correction of my own: I claimed that the Welcome! message would have gone out as volume16/v16welcome. In fact, the "volume16/" is not sent out, and to avoid having to muck around with two different patch schemes I decided to make *everything* multipart: it would in fact have been "v16welcome/part01", and the archive list "v16index/part01", etc. (I misremembered because I didn't do those; I let a program do them for me. Much easier to talk to this: (prompt with many options)? s Newsgroup: Is this an Administrivia posting (N)? y Archive-name: v16welcome and let the "csmsend" program figure out how to talk to inews and store the compressed archive entry and update archive-name and archive contents files. I mean, what else is being a programmer good for? ;-) ++Brandon -- Me: Brandon S.
