Summary: Lookin' for M5000 users. Message-ID: <1991Jan10.231554.28200@ob1.uws.EDU.AU> Date: 10 Jan 91 23:15:54 GMT Distribution: comp Organization: University of Western Sydney Lines: 33 Hi y'all, I'm an aussie Beeb owner who's looking for users of the Hybrid Music 5000 System. I bought a Music 500 in '86 and upgraded to the Music 5000 s/w in '88. Last year I bought the Music 2000 MIDI Interface and a Roland D110 to go with it, sounds great! Don't do any 'composing' with it though, mainly just transcribing sheet music or mucking around with AMPLINEX user group discs (which are excellent). I'm also interested in Beeb graphics (ACORN USER actually put some of my piccy's on some of their 'monthly discs'). Just finished writing a PPM to Beeb converter (PPM - Portable Pix-Map, from the PBMPLUS package), which basically means I can now display any graphics files on the Beeb (even GIF's), the pictures are displayed in Mode2 using an 8 colour dither. If there's any interest I'll post the C source to this group - there are two programs on written in C to convert the image, and another in BBC BASIC to display the 'converted' file on the Beeb. Andrew Leahy NOTE: At the mo' I can't post from my site, so I'm borrowing another guys' login on our other campuses system - which can post. If you want to reply to me it's probably best to post to this group, since our email is also stuffed! If you want to try to mail to me either mail to 'ian@ob1.uws.edu.au' (put 'for A.Leahy' in subject line) OR try mailing directly to me at 'a.leahy@nepean.uws.edu.au' (no guarentees it'll work though!) email is stuffed also!
