(page 7-1). What you have to do is temporarily break the line by inserting a carriage return, edit it to your heart's content, then delete the carriage return. That's what I do and it works just fine. The other thing you can do is get one of the several PD versions of EMACS and modify it. I think the FF disks have at least three versions with source.
