Message-ID: <10960@jpl-devvax.JPL.NASA.GOV> Date: 8 Jan 91 21:01:17 GMT Reply-To: grieggs@devvax.JPL.NASA.GOV (John T. Grieggs) Organization: Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, CA Lines: 23 I have been thinking about accelerating my Amiga 500, so that I may ray-trace with Imagine faster. 1 to 2 hours per image is pretty darned discouraging! I currently have 5 meg of RAM, 1 of which is chip due to a Fatter Agnus (not sure if this is relevant). Questions: 1. What processor speed-up options are available? 2. How much do they help? 3. How much do they cost? 4. Can they be disabled/made invisible? (The real question here is, can I make my machine look like a nice environment for games to want to run in?) If this has already been beaten to death, sorry. Just point me in the right direction and I will slink away... -- John T.
