I also have aliases for cd, makedir, protect, and delete with the originals squirreled off so that scripts and such which use these commands either get the bowdlerized versions or don't work. (I have to include cd, which is a pain, so that plain "cd :C" or some such nasty doesn't get around the other safeguards. But better safe than sorry.) For obvious reasons, I'm not going to include my workarounds in this newsgroup, but they have allowed me to survive "Click here to Install" toys without having to read them. -- Robert I.
