Danford Corp. has marketed a couple of different Multibus and AT-bus (ISA)
cards for adding RS232 lines to the Apollo workstation line. I seem to
remember getting a letter from them that talk about their supporting the
new HP/Apollo 9000 series 400 machines. Danford provided software drivers
for their cards. I'd try giving them a call. I've only got the number of
the Massachusetts sales office -- 617-861-6197
