Piggly Wiggly grocery stores in Minot, North Dakota has been providing local grade schools with an Apple IIGS for each $100,000 worth of receipts turned in for the last two school years. This year (just recently) they up'd the requirement to $150,000 worth of receipts because of the cost of the systems. Thus far, over 200 systems have been provided to the schools since the project started. As for the ads, locally they have been showing drawings/pictures of the IIGS. The systems being provided consist of the CPU, color monitor, one 3.5" disk drive, and one 5.25" disk drive. Some software is also included. According to a recent article in the local paper, the cost totals $1,500 ($1,200 for hardware, and $300 for software). It is great that the company is doing this. In the beginning, I was teaching my kids (ages 7 and 10) on the IIGS at home. But more recently my kids have been teaching me! Mark Skapik 57ADSCXCSACEMNET.AF.MIL Minot, ND
