Why not?! It's >a great magazine for // users, especially those who use modems all the time >like us.... I'll tell you why I don't like InCider anymore. Its their attitue. A couple of issues ago, Paul Stattus wrote that the main reason why Apple was not going to develop the II any further was that we weren't buying enough of them. OK, fine I'll buy that if we hadn't gone out and bought millions of them only to see Apple turn around and say "You bought the wrong computer. The future is ONLY in the Mac." And if you don't believe, me, when is the last time you've SEEN a IIGS commerical? Boy, what support for their number 1 selling unit {IIGS} through 1986-1989! And that the only way to save the II line was to start buying tons of stuff for them. Well whats going to say now that our money is going to save the line? I don't want to fund another Macintosh or printer that takes four years to get real drivers for my IIGS {IW LQ}. Now Incider has also gone Macintosh. Not that I blame them when THE Apple II magazine only has 96 pages for most of the year, you have to do something to keep your job. But they say "Don't be mad at Apple, be happy. The Mac isn't your rival, its your friend. Lets have them work together better." No, the Mac isn't our rival, but Apple is forcing the issue. So sorry guys, I'll take my money to a magazine that repects my investment and is trying to make my IIGS live up to its potiental and not simply have it just work with a Mac better. | Hal Bouma | Working on a sig! | Macalester College | | Mail to: SHBOUM@MACALSTR.EDU |
