Rumor is that MDIdeas went out of business, so if you happen to find one somewhere it might cost almost anything from free to perhaps $129 (unpopulated). I recommend using 1MB SIMMs unless you just happen to have a bunch of free 256KB SIMMs on hand already. With 1MB SIMMs the OctoRAM is DMA compatible up to 4MB and works with the Apple High-Speed (DMA) SCSI card even at 8MB (due to a kludge in the Apple card itself). I have one of these (8MB) and I like it.
