Message-ID: <1991Jan10.050738.25327@marlin.jcu.edu.au> Date: 10 Jan 91 05:07:38 GMT Organization: James Cook University Lines: 29 Equipment: 3b2/400, 4megs ram, 72megs HD, 3 eports, 1 tape, SysVR2.0.5 C Development System, all manuals to go with above. Some friends and I recently bought a 3b2/400 and we are trying to upgrade the OS to enable us to run some code that uses BSD sockets (a Mud - which is why we bought the 3b2). Does anyone have any idea who we should contact here in Australia about 3b2's? I have tried Olivetti - "3b2's are not supported here" or similar. Failing that, who do we contact in the USA about them? Also, how hard are 3bnet cards (NIC) & software to come across? I know i'll need a NIC and S/W plus the WIN/3B S/W but what is it all worth? Anyone got any for sale? What sort of prices should we expect to pay for these products? Our 3b2 only cost us AUS$220 which is a real bargain compared to US prices I have seen mentioned. Please email in any case - Australia is long way from anywhere.....
