It was in the socket above the CPU socket. since you asked .... it is a USART (two channel comm chip). 8322 is a date code. the NEC part number is the 7201, Intel makes an identical chip known as the 8274 (perhaps easier to find a data sheet for, if you want to fiddle with it).
