Message-ID: Date: 14 Jan 91 15:12:59 GMT Sender: news@ccncsu.ColoState.EDU Distribution: comp Organization: Colorado State University, Fort Collins, CO 80525 Lines: 19 I've just gotten a 486 and in looking at the values in the extended CMOS setup I'm not quite sure what some of them are. I hope some kind and knowledgeable soul out there will enlighten me as to what they mean and what values they should typically have for a 25 MHz 486 motherboard. The documentation I got with the machine mentions what some of the settings should be but not what is actually being set. So here are the ones I'm not sure of. Scratch RAM option: 1 or 0 Relocate option: Enabled or Disabled CPU Clock: CLKIN or ICLK ICLK: CLKIN/3 or CLKIN/4 ATCLK stretch: Enabled or Disabled Fast Gate A20: Enabled or Disabled Cache Range: "16 M Cacheable area" is the default value Thanks!
