However, under MSDOS 4.01 on a (authentic) IBM PC/AT, although the format proceeds correctly and chkdsk reports 800k free on the disk, only 360k worth of data can be written before dos reports a "Disk Full" error. Is there a newer version of 800ks which runs correctly under Dos 4.01? Is there any other way to get more than 360k on a standard DSDD disk using a high-density drive?
